Japan Nexus Intelligence (JNI), a leading intelligence firm in Japan, has recently announced their collaboration with the University of Tokyo's Advanced Institute of Science and Technology, focusing on developing an assessment framework for misinformation and malicious information dissemination. This initiative is part of a larger effort to create objective metrics that can evaluate the impact and threat posed by misinformation to domestic businesses.
Objectives of the Research
Traditionally, the evaluation of misinformation has relied heavily on frameworks developed overseas, often focusing on threats posed by international actors. However, there has been a growing need for metrics that Japanese companies can utilize.
