e-dash Partners with Suwa City for Zero Carbon Management Program

e-dash and Suwa City Collaborate on Carbon Management

e-dash Inc., headquartered in Minato, Tokyo, has announced the partnership with Suwa City, Nagano, to implement the 'Decarbonization Management e-suwa! Program', aimed at reducing CO₂ emissions among local businesses. Starting from August 31, 2026, the program will invite three business entities in Suwa City to participate in this initiative.

Background of the Initiative

In March 2022, Suwa City made the 'Suwa City Zero Carbon City Declaration', striving to achieve net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050. This united effort involving citizens, businesses, and the government aims to promote a decarbonized society. However, many businesses hesitate to take initial steps toward decarbonization, often citing a lack of resources and knowledge, including accurate measurement of their emissions and detailed plans for reduction.

To counter these challenges, the collaboration between Suwa City and e-dash will implement the 'Decarbonization Management e-suwa! Program'. e-dash will assist businesses in visualizing their CO₂ emissions and developing reduction plans tailored to their specific situations with strong support throughout the process.

Support Overview

The program delivers support to three selected businesses in Suwa City through the following:
1. Calculation and Visualization of CO₂ Emissions: Participants will use 'e-dash' to upload utility bills (for electricity, gas, etc.) to intuitively visualize monthly energy usage and emissions without needing specialized knowledge. e-dash provides thorough assistance through phone and online support for all operations.
2. Concrete Action Proposals for Reducing CO₂: The initiative will not just stop at presenting the numbers but will also offer actionable steps. Based on the gathered data, e-dash will guide businesses through national energy-saving diagnostics, available subsidies, operational improvements, and investment plans, helping to set realistic reduction targets and strategies.

Businesses can access all these services for free until the end of February 2027.

Through this program, e-dash aims to support the transition to decarbonized management for local businesses in Suwa City, contributing to the community's carbon neutrality and sustainable economic development.

How to Apply for the 'Decarbonization Management e-suwa! Program'

An online orientation session will be held for businesses interested in participating in this program and using e-dash's services. Participation in this briefing is mandatory for application.
  • - Target Businesses: Those with operational bases in Suwa City who do not currently utilize a paid CO₂ emission management system.

Comments from Suwa City Officials

Daisuke Natori, Chief of the Zero Carbon City Promotion Office, emphasized, “The achievement of our targets requires collaboration from citizens, businesses, and the government across various sectors. We believe that local businesses play a critical role in advancing decarbonized management.”

Many businesses might still be uncertain about where to start when it comes to managing their emissions. This initiative will help them take the preliminary step of visualizing their emissions, thus paving the way toward concrete reduction efforts.
