Careviso Shows Leadership in Healthcare Price Transparency at HL7 Da Vinci Project Connectathon

Careviso recently participated in the HL7 FHIR® Connectathon held in September, an event designed to foster the exchange of healthcare data. During this event, Careviso notably completed a real-time and accurate submission of a Good Faith Estimate (GFE) and Advance Explanation of Benefits (AEOB). During the Connectathon, Careviso’s CTO, Brandon Blais, showcased the real-time submission of a GFE utilizing the seeQer system. The results from this submission were forwarded to a payer, which then processed the information and returned a PDF containing the AEOB details for the patient. This demonstration illustrated how the seeQer tool effectively connects the different parties involved in the healthcare system, ensuring that patients are well-informed of their healthcare costs up front.

Emphasizing the importance of this achievement, Blais noted, "It was fantastic to collaborate with industry peers to demonstrate our capabilities using the Da Vinci PCT FHIR standards to generate Good Faith Estimates and retrieve, store, and present Advanced Explanation of Benefits at the point of care."
