Revolutionizing Healthcare with the TransCar Autonomous Transport Robot at Upcoming Conference

Autonomous Solutions in Healthcare: TransCar

Moraine Corporation, a leader in infection control consulting and product introduction, is set to showcase its groundbreaking autonomous transport robot, TransCar, at the upcoming 41st Annual Conference on Environmental Infections in July 2026. This event will take place at Pacifico Yokohama, where Moraine aims to highlight its commitment to revolutionizing healthcare logistics through innovative technology.

The Growing Need for Medical Logistics Robotics

In recent years, the healthcare sector has been grappling with a persistent shortage of medical professionals, particularly in metropolitan and rural areas. A significant portion of healthcare workers' time is dedicated to transportation tasks, which often diverts them from patient care. Furthermore, the COVID-19 pandemic has underscored the need for efficient logistics systems, as hospitals have been faced with the challenge of safely transporting hazardous materials, such as infectious waste. With many healthcare facilities being unable to outsource these services, nursing staff have sometimes found themselves managing transport responsibilities along with their primary care duties.

Moraine is committed to creating an environment where healthcare professionals can focus on their essential roles. The introduction of the TransCar, which operates seamlessly in infectious zones 24/7, represents an effective auto-transport solution designed to alleviate logistical burdens in medical facilities. The automation technology has already been implemented in over 90% of hospitals in Singapore, showcasing its reliability and effectiveness.

Innovative Features of TransCar

The TransCar is crafted to transform existing hospital carts into automated transport systems, offering a remarkable series of features designed for efficiency and safety:

1. Upgrade Existing Equipment

The design facilitates the retrofitting of existing carts, including medication, linen, and meal carts, allowing a robot to lift and transport these items. This approach not only promotes cost efficiency by utilizing familiar assets but also enhances operational capabilities with multitasking abilities.

2. Power and Safety

With the capacity to transport loads of up to 500 kg, the TransCar is equipped with laser scanners, ultrasonic sensors, and contact-sensitive bumpers, ensuring smooth navigation through various terrains, including slopes and elevators. Its sophisticated sensor system effectively prevents potential accidents involving humans, promising safe transport within hospitals.

3. Cybersecurity and Control

TransCar operates on a closed hospital network, eliminating external cybersecurity risks. This allows for complete control of the robotic system via the hospital's servers, ensuring a secure, on-premise operational environment.

Camello+: The Multi-Purpose Robot

In addition to showcasing TransCar, Moraine will also introduce Camello+, an on-demand multi-purpose robot designed for versatile transportation needs within healthcare settings. Key functionalities include:

  • - Diverse Delivery Modules: Camello+ can be outfitted with various delivery modules, including a 6-Drawer Module with independent security locks, which allows for accurate handling of supplies and prevents delivery mishaps between departments.

  • - On-Demand Transport: The robot can be summoned as needed, making it ideal for tasks like delivering samples from patient wards to laboratories, with a maximum capacity of 50 kg, and optimizing routes for efficiency.

  • - Enhanced Visibility: With a robust design suitable for outdoor use and equipped with four 360-degree cameras, Camello+ ensures continuous monitoring, allowing for clear accountability in the event of any issues.

Conference Details

The conference, hosted from July 9 to 11, 2026, at Pacifico Yokohama, will be an excellent opportunity for healthcare professionals to explore innovative solutions like the TransCar and Camello+. Moraine Corporation stands proudly in booth CP-101, with additional hospitality space in the G411 foyer.
