WBSC eBaseball™ Series 2026 Overview

Konami Digital Entertainment recently announced the exciting details for the upcoming WBSC eBaseball™ Series 2026, a global tournament organized by the World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC). This event features eBaseball™: PRO SPIRIT, a free-to-play game available on PlayStation®5 and Steam® that sets the stage for an intense competition.

Format and Qualification

The tournament will follow a structured qualification process featuring participants from various regions. There will be:

• - 2 direct slots from regional qualifiers organized by WBSC member federations.
• - 4 direct slots filled by the Global Rankings (1 slot), Women’s Qualifiers (1 slot), and USA Qualifiers (2 slots).
• - 2 slots will be awarded through a globally accessible Global Qualifier hosted in-game by Konami.

In total, 8 players will earn the chance to compete in the World Finals. These finals are set to take place from November 14 to November 15 in North Carolina, USA.

Competition Timeline

Starting July 1, regional qualifiers will commence, offering players worldwide the opportunity to showcase their gaming prowess. The qualified players will face off in the World Finals, where they will battle for supremacy in this thrilling eSports event.

What is eBaseball™: PRO SPIRIT?

eBaseball™: PRO SPIRIT is the latest entry in the ‘Professional Baseball Spirits’ franchise, offering incredible features and gameplay geared toward an exhilarating competitive atmosphere. It utilizes the next-generation eBaseball™ Engine, designed to enhance player motion realism while providing immersive soundscapes and smooth commentary that draw players deeper into the action.
