Daikanyama Soryosai Festival 2025: Connecting People, Communities, and Futures
The Daikanyama T-SITE in Shibuya, Tokyo, will host the "Daikanyama Soryosai Festival 2025" from September 20 (Saturday) to September 28 (Sunday). Organized by the Daikanyama Shopping Association and the festival executive committee, this year’s festival focuses on the theme of "TSUNAGU" (connecting), creating an event that bridges people, communities, and future generations.
The festival will feature a variety of family-friendly activities, leveraging the unique charm of the Daikanyama area. Highlights include a "Children's Yukata Festival" led by students from Sarugakucho Elementary School, a grand lottery event to celebrate the end of summer, and an innovative sound stamp rally called "oto rea". The festival is set to be a delightful experience for families, complementing other events such as “o-n’en” day and a small fireworks display at Daikanyama T-SITE.
Collaborating with Children for a Sustainable Future
Since its inception in 2022, the Daikanyama Soryosai has prioritized collaboration with children, the true champions of our future. This year, the festival has partnered with the fifth-grade students of Sarugakucho Elementary School, engaging them in an exploratory learning project known as the “Shibuya Future Course”. The goal is to cultivate a deeper love for their community among the children. Through unique hands-on experiences, the festival hopes to create lasting memories that will inspire future community leaders.
