HUAWEI XMAGE Awards 2024: A Celebration of Inspiring Photography

On November 27, 2024, the Shenzhen Sea World Culture and Art Centre came alive with creativity and emotional storytelling as the annual HUAWEI XMAGE Awards 2024 took center stage. This prestigious event, titled 'A Heartwarming World,' drew together photographers, media representatives, awardees, creators, and photography enthusiasts from all corners of the globe, uniting them in their passion for mobile imaging.

The awards ceremony is now in its eighth year and has garnered participation from over 170 countries and regions since its inception. With nearly 5 million submissions received over the years, the XMAGE Awards have established themselves as a significant event in the mobile photography landscape. This year alone, the competition spanned 131 days, engaging participants from 86 countries and attracting over 650,000 entries. Countries like Malaysia, Turkey, the Philippines, and the United Arab Emirates played a notable role in contributing to the volume of submissions, alongside China, which remains at the forefront.

The awards ceremony recognized 66 outstanding works, highlighting creativity and emotional resonance among different cultures. Award presentations included 3 Grand Prize winners, 18 category winners, 38 second-place honors, 3 special mentions, and additional accolades for the best works from the Pura and Mate series.
