Tokyo's King Salmon Project: A Gateway for Startups to Global Challenges
The King Salmon Project is an innovative initiative launched by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government aimed at fostering the growth of local startups. Partnering with the
Global City Network for Sustainability (G-NETS), this project seeks to provide Tokyo-based startups with invaluable support as they engage in overseas proof-of-concept missions. This year, the project specifically targets urban issues in
Jakarta, Indonesia, and
Malmö, Sweden.

- - Support Assurance: Through collaboration with local stakeholders and the project promoter Deloitte Tohmatsu Consulting, participating startups will receive necessary assistance in logistics, ensuring that all activities align with local needs and contexts.
- - Funding: The Tokyo Metropolitan Government will cover the travel and operational expenses (with some limits) associated with the implementation of these projects.
