Carhartt originated in 1889 in Detroit, Michigan, as a workwear brand aimed at providing durable and practical clothing for laborers. Starting with only four sewing machines and five employees, Carhartt has grown to become a trusted name in workwear over the years. From its inception, the brand has focused on functionality and durability, which have made it a staple in the American workforce.
