Xtalks and CRAC Partner for Clinical Research Summit
Xtalks is thrilled to announce its role as the official media partner for the highly anticipated Pan-Canadian Framework to Promote Clinical Research in Canada Summit, set to take place on October 15, 2025. Hosted by the Clinical Research Association of Canada (CRAC), this event will be held at the Maple Banquet Hall located at 1325 Eglinton Ave E, Mississauga, Ontario.
The summit is poised to gather a diverse group of individuals including representatives from various provincial organizations, Health Canada, patient advocacy groups, and international experts. Their goal is to discuss and construct a unified framework aimed at advancing and attracting clinical trials within Canada. With a spotlight on crucial areas like regulatory harmonization, workforce development, patient engagement, and the adoption of global best practices, this gathering intends to facilitate collaborative efforts and generate actionable solutions.
In recent years, while Canada has made significant strides in enhancing provincial strengths regarding healthcare management, there remains a vital need for a more cohesive national strategy. Such a unified approach is essential to boost Canada’s standing as a competitive location for clinical trials on a global scale. Drawing insights from countries such as the United Kingdom and Australia, the summit will aim to identify and address the hurdles that impede collaborative efforts across provinces.
Sabrina Ramkellawan, the President and Board Director of CRAC, emphasized the pressing need for a coordinated strategy, stating, "Canada needs a coordinated Pan-Canadian approach to attract clinical trials. By doing so, we can accelerate patient access to innovative treatments while driving economic growth through job creation and increased investment in the life sciences sector."
Furthermore, Kim McDonald-Taylor, Board Director and Toronto Chairperson of CRAC, expressed enthusiasm about hosting such an impactful event. "We are truly excited to launch discussions that can lead to tangible outcomes, ensuring an increase in clinical trials within Canada. Our aim is to cultivate the collaboration necessary to effect real change across our nation," she commented.
The summit's agenda will cover several pivotal topics, including regulatory harmonization, enhancing patient engagement, workforce development, and the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) within clinical research. Participants will also have the opportunity to engage in live surveys and interactive sessions, fostering an atmosphere conducive to generating pragmatic solutions for the future of clinical research in Canada.
Vera Kovacevic, Editor-in-Chief of Xtalks, noted, "We are honored to partner with CRAC as the official media partner for this landmark event. By covering the summit, we showcase our dedication to promoting the essential conversations that will shape the future landscape of clinical research in both Canada and beyond."
