In a significant leap towards sustainable construction, Abdullah Abdin Ready-Mix Concrete has become the first company in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region to receive the prestigious Concrete Sustainability Council (CSC) certification. The CSC certification recognizes Abdullah Abdin for implementing exceptional sustainability practices that align with global standards in the concrete sector. It is noteworthy that Abdullah Abdin Ready-Mix Concrete is the first in the MENA region, and the first firm outside Europe, South America, and Turkey, to achieve this esteemed certification. The CSC certification program, inaugurated in 2017, established a globally recognized certification system aimed at promoting the sustainable development goals (SDGs) within the concrete sector. Presently, there are 1,288 certified plants in 25 countries, and the CSC certification is fortified by associations with renowned green building standards like LEED and BREEAM.

To honor this remarkable accomplishment, an award ceremony was celebrated at the company’s headquarters in Sharma, NEOM. Further underlining its pioneering efforts, Abdullah Abdin recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Cryo and CarbonCure Technologies. This collaboration aims to harness carbon capture and utilization technologies across its facilities. By incorporating innovative solutions, such as the injection of captured CO₂ into concrete mixes, the partnership aligns seamlessly with Abdullah Abdin's commitment to eco-friendly construction practices and actively contributes to the Kingdom's decarbonization efforts.
