MR. X: A New Era in Visual Effects



The acclaimed visual effects studio MR. X is embarking on a new chapter, returning to its roots as an independent and artist-led entity. Founded by Dennis Berardi in 2001 in Toronto, MR. X has evolved from a local studio to a global powerhouse, renowned for its extraordinary contributions to the film and television industries.

After an illustrious journey that saw the studio expand internationally—with locations in Montreal, New York, Los Angeles, Adelaide, and Bangalore—MR. X was acquired by Technicolor in 2014. In 2021, Dennis Berardi, along with a significant number of MR. X's original team, established Herne Hill Media, a creative production studio. With over 120 artists onboard, the studio thrived with distinctive projects until Berardi decided to reclaim the name MR. X and merge Herne Hill Media back into it.
