Trina Solar Unveils Vertex N G3 Solar Module at PV EXPO 2026 in Tokyo

Trina Solar's Vertex N G3: A Cutting-Edge Solar Solution

Trina Solar Co., Ltd., a global leader in solar energy and storage solutions, made headlines by launching its latest N-type TOPCon solar energy module, the Vertex N G3, at the PV EXPO 2026 held at Tokyo Big Sight until March 19. This marked the first reveal of this advanced module in Asia, showcasing Trina Solar's commitment to technological innovation in renewable energy.

The Vertex N G3 is specifically engineered for utility-scale solar power generation, achieving a remarkable maximum output of 760W. With its superior design, this module enhances power generation efficiency at the system level while ensuring long-term reliability.

Trina Solar has established itself as a significant player in the solar module market with cumulative global shipments surpassing 292 GW as of June 2025. Recognized for its reliability, Trina Solar has been named a PVEL Top Performer for eleven consecutive years, a crucial metric acknowledged by EPC procurement teams worldwide. Additionally, the company was featured on the S&P Global Commodity Insights' inaugural list of 'Tier 1 CleanTech Companies' in the solar module category in September 2025. This recognition underscores Trina Solar's market presence, scale, diversity, financial performance, and corporate sustainability, indicating its status as a low-risk procurement source for financiers, developers, and power purchasers. Unlike overseas manufacturers without local bases, Trina Solar maintains teams in Japan to support project development, technical consulting, and after-sales adjustments.

The Vertex N G3 module (NEG21C.20Q) is built on research and development of N-type i-TOPCon technology that Trina Solar has been advancing since 2015. Through enhancements in cell design, including multi-cut cell technology, ultra-fine electrode formation technology, and high-density interconnection techniques, energy losses during the conversion of sunlight to electric energy have been minimized. This results in the Vertex N G3 achieving a maximum output of 760W and a module conversion efficiency of 24.5%.

Moreover, its low voltage design boosts string output and reduces Balance of System (BOS) and Levelized Cost of Energy (LCOE) by approximately 2-3% when compared to standard modules. These features are particularly effective for utility-scale solar power projects in Japan, where space and cost efficiency are crucial.

For industrial and commercial rooftop applications, Trina Solar also unveiled the Vertex S+ G3 module (NEG9RP.28Z), which achieves a maximum output of 485W. This lightweight module, measuring 1762 × 1134 × 30 mm, is suitable for roof installations in space-constrained Japanese commercial facilities.
