Celebrate Four Wonderful Years of ROKU KYOTO

In the lush foothills of Takagamine, renowned for its artistic heritage, ROKU KYOTO, part of LXR Hotels & Resorts, is gearing up to commemorate its 4th anniversary. The week of celebration runs from September 13 to September 15, 2025, with a unique event themed "Dive into Kyoto.”

Historically, Takagamine has been a nucleus for the arts for over 400 years, where the master artisan Honami Koetsu brought together various artists to establish a vibrant arts village, giving birth to the Rinpa school of art. This storied area fosters a rich environment for creativity, having produced numerous talented artists throughout history. The event is set to revive this artistic spirit, emphasizing the motto that beautiful things emerge from beautiful environments, a philosophy echoed by the Nishijin weaver Shozan, who revitalizes Kyoto’s kimono craftsmanship.

The anniversary celebration aims to present art and culture in collaboration with contemporary artists, grounding the experience in the historical essence of the location. Throughout your stay at ROKU KYOTO, visitors can explore a curated exhibition featuring traditional craftsmanship and art from Kyoto. These displays will occur in the "RECEPTION" area of the hotel, showcasing a variety of artworks, including Nishijin woven art, bamboo crafts, and karakami art.

In addition to the exhibits, the event offers an exciting opportunity for the first 100 guests who visit during these three days to receive a special gift. Guests dining at the hotel’s restaurant, "TENJIN," will also be treated to a complimentary specially crafted cocktail or mocktail inspired by the Rinpa movement.
