Addressing Traveler Concerns
In recent years, the trend of self-arranging overseas travel, where travelers mix and match flights, hotels, and other arrangements, has increased significantly. However, this has also led to growing anxiety among travelers regarding unexpected issues such as lost passports, sudden illnesses, accidents, and last-minute flight cancellations. Acknowledging these concerns, JTB has decided to implement this service to ensure that travelers can enjoy their journeys without hesitation, regardless of how they choose to travel.
The "JTB 24-Hour Emergency Support Dial" dramatically expands coverage compared to previous offerings, now including not just flights but also hotels and tours organized through JTB. By consolidating previous country-specific telephone numbers into a single global number, and by introducing options for internet-based calls, JTB significantly enhances convenience for its customers.
Transitioning Services
As part of this new initiative, the previous "JTB Overseas Assistance Service" will cease to accept new registrations as of March 25, 2026. However, customers who have already utilized this service will continue to receive support until March 31, 2027.
Moving forward, JTB remains committed to supporting each traveler in achieving fulfilling journeys that enrich their lives. This new emergency support service is a testament to JTB's dedication to ensuring safety and providing a superior travel experience, no matter where their customers may roam.
