Event Overview


Scheduled from October 17 to 19, 2025, this vibrant festival will feature a wide range of programs and acts to delight attendees. With activities planned for families, individuals, and avid sports fans, there’s something for everyone attending this legacy celebration.

Exciting Programs and Activities


Starting today, registration is open for two popular events from last year that brought immense joy and enthusiasm: the Legacy School Sports Day and the 100m Sprint Time Challenge where participants will have the opportunity to sprint on the hallowed track of the National Stadium.

Legacy School Sports Day

  • - Date: October 18, 2025
  • - Time: 10:00 AM - 12:30 PM
  • - Venue: National Stadium (track and field area)
  • - Activities: Participants will split into teams and engage in various challenges including rice-eating contests, pull rope, bubble survival, and big ball relays.
  • - Eligibility: Participants must be elementary school students or older. Parents must accompany the younger students.
  • - Capacity: 200 participants, and 300 spectators.
  • - Participation Fee: 500 yen for both participants and spectators.

100m Sprint Time Challenge

  • - Date: October 19, 2025
  • - Time: 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM
  • - Venue: National Stadium (track area)
  • - Eligibility: Open to individuals from elementary school through 19 years old. Parents must register for young students.
  • - Capacity: 200 participants, and 300 spectators.
  • - Participation Fee: 500 yen for both participants and spectators.

Additional Program Information


Further programs will open for registration later in August, promoting a strong legacy of sportsmanship and community spirit. They will include:
  • - Kids Support Class & 100m Sprint Time Challenge
Date: October 19, 2025
Time: 1:30 PM – 2:15 PM
Eligibility: Ages 5-8 with a parent accompanying.
Capacity: 30 parent-child pairs.

  • - Middle and High School Athlete Special Academy
Date: October 19, 2025
Time: 2:00 PM - 4:30 PM
Eligibility: Middle and high school athletes engaged in long-distance events. The session will be led by Sachiko Yamashita, a renowned coach.
Capacity: 50 participants, 10 coaches.

Open and Free Programs


  • - Digital Stamp Rally: Celebrate at the National Stadium and Meiji Park by partaking in a thrilling walk rally while collecting stamps!
Dates: October 17-19.

  • - Meiji Park Family Sports Experience Zone: A space for everyone to enjoy sports regardless of age or ability.
