4AIR Achieves Significant Milestone with 100+ Locations Offering Sustainable Aviation Fuel

4AIR Achieves a Major Milestone in Sustainable Aviation

4AIR, a pioneering leader in business aviation sustainability, is proud to announce a significant milestone: the official verification of more than 100 locations across the globe offering Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF). This landmark achievement is a testament to the aviation industry's growing dedication to reducing its carbon footprint and striving for a more sustainable future.

Since the launch of its interactive SAF map in 2021, which has now expanded to include over 114 locations as of March 2025, 4AIR has positioned itself at the forefront of sustainable aviation initiatives. This map is an essential tool for operators who are searching for SAF globally, making it easier than ever to access this crucial resource. The map is also available on the Aviation International News (AIN) Online platform, broadening its reach within the industry.

Kennedy Ricci, the president of 4AIR, expressed the importance of this expansion, stating, “This growth in SAF availability is crucial for facilitating decarbonization solutions and ensuring more operators can engage with sustainable practices.” As the availability of SAF increases, 4AIR helps operators document their usage effectively through initiatives like the Assure SAF Registry, which is designed to track and verify SAF consumption for both voluntary commitments and regulatory requirements. This meticulous documentation process is vital for environmental reporting, as it allows operators to credibly showcase their sustainable efforts.

When the SAF map was first introduced, it highlighted fewer than 20 locations. The rapid growth to 114 locations by the end of the first quarter of 2025 reflects the industry's commitment to reducing emissions and fostering an improved ecological future. Of the newly added locations, around 50 were included in 2024 alone, demonstrating a healthy upward trend in SAF provisions within the aviation sector. At present, these 114 locations now facilitate SAF availability at 92 airports, including 47 in the United States, 43 located across Europe, 1 in Asia, and 1 in the Middle East.

Prominent figures within the business aviation sector have lauded this expansion. Scott Cutshall, President of Real Estate Sustainability at Clay Lacy, emphasized that, “SAF represents one of the most impactful methods for our industry to lower its environmental footprint today.” Similarly, Beatrice Batty, Senior Director of Environment and Sustainability at Signature Aviation, remarked on their commitment to developing a robust SAF supply chain, aiming to accelerate SAF usage in private aviation moving forward.

The commitment to sustainability transcends individual companies and fosters collaboration throughout the industry. Joao Martins, Vice President of Regional FBO Operations for Jet Aviation Europe, described the importance of providing access to SAF whenever and wherever it is needed. He highlighted their ongoing partnerships aimed at expanding SAF accessibility in environmentally logical locations, citing the addition of their global headquarters in Basel, Switzerland, to the SAF network earlier this year as a prominent achievement.

C.R. Sincock, II, Executive Vice President of Avfuel Corporation, also spoke to the evolving landscape of aviation fuels, noting his company's dedication to investing in sustainable options for operators. Since the establishment of Avfuel Technology Initiatives Corporation, they have actively contributed to next-generation aviation innovations, now encompassing a wide array of sustainable fuel pathways, including hybrid-electric power systems.

As the aviation industry continues to navigate the complexities of sustainability, the expansion of SAF availability through initiatives like 4AIR's Comprehensive SAF Map demonstrates a strong commitment to environmental stewardship.
