What is Frescoball?

Frescoball, a beach sport originating in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, was first conceived in 1945 at Copacabana Beach. It has since gained popularity worldwide, characterized by cooperative gameplay rather than competition. Players work together to maintain rallies over a distance of 7 meters for a duration of 5 minutes, emphasizing a culture of care and support within the game. With 28 recognized regional clubs and 6 official student groups across Japan, the JFBA was established in 2013 to spread the joy and community spirit of Frescoball further.
