Global Media Highlights JA Solar's DeepBlue 5.0 Innovation in Solar Energy

JA Solar Hosts Global Media for DeepBlue 5.0 Launch

In an exciting event held at JA Solar's manufacturing and testing facilities in Yangzhou, nearly thirty prominent media outlets specializing in solar and energy attended to witness the unveiling of the DeepBlue 5.0 module. This latest innovation aims to redefine the future of high-value solar energy with groundbreaking features and performance metrics.

Transitioning to Value Creation

During the event, Sure Liu, JA Solar's Brand and Marketing Manager, emphasized a pivotal shift in the photovoltaic industry, which is now moving from large-scale expansion to creating lasting value. He highlighted the need for new public consumer products to deliver greater value to customers not only through superior performance parameters but also by maximizing land use efficiency and project profitability.

"New consumer-oriented photovoltaic products must be rooted in value. It’s not just about higher efficiency; it’s about enhancing the overall capabilities of customers," he said.

System-Wide Breakthroughs

The DeepBlue 5.0 module boasts a remarkable maximum output of 670W and achieves a conversion efficiency of 24.8%. These capabilities stem from an integrated suite of innovations in wafer, cell, module, materials, and manufacturing processes. Specific advancements include:

1. Design: The frameless full-screen design increases the active generation area while providing a streamlined aesthetic.
2. Quality: The triangular configuration enhances load resistance, reliability against humidity and heat, and performance even in hot spots.
3. Performance: Improved response in low-light conditions, rear-side reflection, and multi-angle light utilization ensure superior energy yield in various environments.
4. Scenarios: A dust mitigation frame and full-scenario system solutions promote stable value creation across commercial, industrial, and residential applications.

From Core Technology to Industrialization

Ouyang Zi, head of the Product Solutions R&D Center at JA Solar, detailed the underlying technology that contributes to DeepBlue 5.0’s performance gains. This module incorporates innovations such as low-oxygen, long-life wafers, the n-type passivated contact Bycium+ 5.0 cells which have an open-circuit voltage of around 749mV, and module innovations including PII interconnection, dense HDP encapsulation, optical UTG optimization, and CSE structural reinforcement.

Real-World Validation

Journalists also toured JA Solar's outdoor testing facility, equipped with tracking systems and various ground reflectivity zones, as well as commercial and rooftop scenarios. The real-time data collected from the DeepBlue 5.0 testing matrix indicated significant energy yield gains per watt compared to reference systems, affirming the product's advantages in real-world operational conditions.

Ouyang Zi stated, "From R&D innovation to field data, DeepBlue 5.0 showcases a complete and transparent cycle from innovation to value creation. With its advances in system performance and verified field results, DeepBlue 5.0 sets a new benchmark for the industry shift from expansion to value-driven growth."

This groundbreaking event not only showcased JA Solar's commitment to innovation but also highlighted its role in shaping the future of solar energy investment, responding to the increasing demand for high-performance, efficient solar technology.
