Set to take place from October 7 to 8, 2025, this unprecedented effort aims to transport fresh pears harvested from the JR Fruit Park Sendai Araha to Singapore in approximately 19 hours, showcasing the speed and efficiency of combining bullet train and air travel.

This partnership represents a significant leap in logistics as it integrates the two companies' services for seamless overseas transport. The trial capitalizes on the high-speed Shinkansen network and JAL’s international cargo flights, drastically reducing transport time from the usual 24+ hours. Opening up new avenues for transportation, this initiative addresses the shortage of truck drivers, reduces CO2 emissions, and promotes sustainable logistics practices.

Key Details of Overseas Transport

• - Dates: Transport will run from October 7 to 8, 2025.
• - Train used: The Yamabiko 212 leaves Sendai Station at 12:01 PM and arrives at Tokyo Station at 2:16 PM.
• - Air freight: JAL Flight 35 departs Haneda Airport at 00:05 AM on October 8 and reaches Singapore Changi International Airport at 6:10 AM (local time).
• - Transported item: Approximately 300 pears will be shipped.

The combination of these two modes of transport is aimed not only at ensuring rapid delivery of highly sought-after goods but also at enhancing the visibility of regional products on the international market.
