Step Golf Sponsors the 17th Golf Network Championship

Step Golf Co., Ltd., which operates 130 indoor golf schools across the nation with 670 driving ranges, has confirmed its special sponsorship for the "17th Golf Network Break 100 and Best Score Championship 2025 powered by Step Golf." Participant recruitment starts tomorrow, the 17th, at 10 AM on a first-come-first-served basis.

Since its establishment in 2008, this championship has been a celebration of amateur golfers aiming to break the 100-stroke barrier. Step Golf assumed sponsorship beginning in 2024 to promote the joy and sense of achievement that comes with breaking this milestone. In this 17th year, Step Golf is fully supporting participants and spectators to enjoy golf even more.

This year's events will take place in two locations in Kanto and one in Kansai, hosting both the "Break 100 Championship" and the "Best Score Championship." Many golfers partake in the pre-round "Break 100 and Best Score Declaration," creating a sense of camaraderie as they declare their goals alongside support figures like Gorgo Matsumoto and individual peers with shared aspirations. The awarding ceremony post-round will reward those who achieve their goals with a certificate presented by Gorgo Matsumoto, alongside a fun lottery event for all participants.

Step Golf and Golf Network wholeheartedly support golfers who are passionate about breaking the 100-stroke barrier and achieving their best scores, inviting amateur golfers to participate this summer.

The event will also be broadcast live in September 2025 on CS channel "Golf Network" and through the streaming service "Golf Network Plus TV."

Competition Details

- Event Name: Golf Network Break 100 and Best Score Championship 2025 powered by Step Golf

- Format: 18-hole stroke play following JGA competition rules.

Eligibility

Break 100 Championship

- Golfers seeking to surpass 100 strokes for the first time.
- Golfers who have never broken 100 in their lifetime.
- Golfers currently unable to break 100.
- Golfers consistently aiming to do so.

Note: Participants who have previously achieved the 100-break milestone in this championship are not eligible.

Best Score Championship

- Golfers wanting to improve their best scores.
- Golfers whose best scores are 99 or lower.

Entry Fee:

- 11,000 yen (tax included) per participant (play fee extra).

Awards Ceremony:

- The awards ceremony will take place immediately following the completion of rounds at each location.

- Play fee: 19,760 yen (includes caddy service; lunch fee separate)

2. Shizu Hills Country Club (Ibaraki Prefecture)
- Date: July 25, 2025 (Friday)
- Capacity: Break 100 - 100 participants, Best Score - 60 participants
- Play fee: 17,800 yen (includes caddy service; lunch fee separate)
- Registration Deadline: July 4, 2025, by 6 PM

3. Nanso Country Club (Chiba Prefecture)
- Date: August 4, 2025 (Monday)
- Capacity: Break 100 - 120 participants, Best Score - 120 participants
- Play fee: Break 100 - 18,000 yen (includes caddy service, lunch); Best Score - 15,000 yen (includes self-play, lunch)
- Registration Deadline: July 16, 2025, by 6 PM
