Tongxin Micro Showcases Advanced Security Solutions
At the Seamless Middle East Fintech 2025 event held from May 20 to 22 at the Dubai World Trade Centre, Tongxin Microelectronics (TMC), a leader in chip and solution provision, highlighted its advanced security chip technologies. This exhibition aimed to attract interest from key stakeholders across the global payment ecosystem.
Innovations in Chip Solutions
In the sphere of payment cards, Tongxin Micro's security chips have gained international recognition, being certified by prominent standards like EMVCo and CC EAL6+. Their chips are already in widespread use by major payment systems including UnionPay, VISA, MasterCard, and others, with a footprint spanning over 100 countries and regions.
Furthermore, their secure microcontrollers for payment terminal applications comply with strict regulations such as PCI 7.x and UPTS 3.0. These chips are celebrated for their high processing efficiency and minimal power consumption, making them suitable for a robust range of applications, including smart POS/mPOS systems and biometric USB keys in the FIDO ecosystem.
Launch of the Integrated Terminal Platform
A major highlight of the event was the introduction of Tongxin Micro's integrated terminal platform, MIS, which features a secure microcontroller. This all-in-one payment terminal is equipped with NFC/QR code reading capabilities while supporting major payment networks, including VISA and MasterCard. It enables faster, more convenient transactions, addressing the need for compact POS hardware compatible with multiple networks.
In response to market demands, Tongxin Micro also unveiled the world's first eSIM solution specifically designed for smart point-of-sale devices. This innovative solution integrates embedded chip technology, allowing for eSIM card activation and customization at the wafer level, while eliminating the need for physical SIM cards and providing seamless global connectivity for ready-to-use mobile payment terminals.
