Dr. Jenkins takes on the critical role of shaping Drax’s governmental strategies, which will involve navigating the complexities of federal, state, and local regulations. Her vast experience in both government and corporate leadership positions will prove invaluable in supporting Drax's mission to advocate for legislative frameworks that promote affordable, reliable, and low-carbon energy solutions.
With over two decades of experience in various significant roles within the government and corporate sectors, Dr. Jenkins brings a wealth of knowledge to her new position. Most recently, she served as the Chief of Staff at the Mississippi Public Service Commission, where she was integral in handling regulatory policies that affected more than 900,000 utility customers. Her background also includes senior positions at major companies like Pinterest and Walmart, alongside formative roles on Capitol Hill.

Dr. Jenkins holds several prestigious degrees, including a Bachelor of Arts from Tougaloo College, a Master of Public Health from The George Washington University, and a Doctorate in Education from the University of Mississippi. Her educational background, coupled with her extensive experience, positions her well to lead Drax’s endeavors in navigating the evolving landscape of North American energy policies.
