REIKO Concludes Successful Nationwide Tour, New Music on the Horizon
Japanese singer REIKO has successfully completed her nationwide one-man tour, titled "REIKO One-man tour 'VOICE'." After an exciting run across eight cities, she wrapped up the final performance at Toyosu PIT in Tokyo, where the additional show witnessed a remarkable turnout.
The tour commenced in May with the release of her second EP, "VOICE," and every performance was a complete sell-out, reflecting the immense popularity of her music. The additional concert at Toyosu PIT received tremendous praise, showcasing a refined REIKO, who delivered a breathtaking performance.
During the concert, she captivated the audience with a dynamic band arrangement, performing a total of 22 songs. One of the highlights was the gentle and compelling track "Lullaby," where she enchanted the crowd with her delicate vocals. Songs like "mada" (translated as 'still') showcased an emotional earnestness that stirred the hearts of her fans, blending powerful lyrics about forward momentum with heartfelt delivery. Additionally, her summer rendition of the fan-favorite "First Christmas" drew an ecstatic response from the audience, proving its timeless appeal.
The concert concluded with an acapella performance of "mada," symbolizing the essence of her tour. The audience sat in rapt attention, captivated by her pure and authentic voice. Then, in a vibrant finale with the closing number, "So Good," she filled the venue with warm energy that left a lasting impression, perfectly summing up the tour.
In an exciting development, REIKO announced the upcoming release of her digital single, "Folklore Vol.1 – Tadhana / Multo," set for July 27, 2026. This forthcoming release marks a heartfelt connection to her roots, featuring two covers of popular Filipino songs.
The first track, "Tadhana," by the acclaimed Filipino band Up Dharma Down, is a love song steeped in fate, and REIKO's rendition incorporates her unique expression alongside the original’s essence. For the second track, she tackles "Multo" from the rising rock band Cup of Joe, whose poignant lyrics explore the haunting memories of a past relationship. REIKO's interpretation in Tagalog promises to resonate strongly with listeners.
Looking ahead, REIKO will also host her special Christmas concert, "REIKO's Winterland Vol.3," on December 15, 2026, at SHIBUYA PLEASURE PLEASURE, with further details to be shared later.
