Connect Nerima Career Path: Discover Your Future

On July 5, 2026, the Connect Nerima Career Path event promises an exciting opportunity for students and their families to explore various professions in the Nerima area. This event, organized by the Tokyo Youth Chamber of Commerce and supported by the Nerima Ward, is completely free and is designed to help participants learn about local careers, engage with professionals, and envision their future paths.

Event Overview

The Connect Nerima Career Path event will offer a unique blend of activities aimed at young individuals from elementary to high school ages, as well as their parents. The goal is to foster a connection between students and their potential future workplaces while providing an interactive experience to understand the essence of various roles in the community.

Activities to Engage and Inspire

Three main programs will unfold during the day, each crafted to maximize interaction and learning:

1. Job Experience Workshops (Reservation Required): This segment is targeted primarily at elementary through high school students and their guardians. Various local businesses and organizations will set up booths where attendees can partake in hands-on experiences across diverse fields such as firefighting, self-defense, woodworking, stone masonry, traditional clothing, radio broadcasting, drone operations, health, sports, and accounting. Engaging directly with professionals and understanding the intricacies of their jobs will serve as a vital stepping stone for students in contemplating their future career paths.
> Note: As the event has gained immense popularity, pre-registration for the job workshops is now closed due to reaching full capacity.

2. Local Business Talk Session: Aimed at high school and university students and their families, this session will feature representatives from participating local businesses sharing insights on their operations, their connection with the community, and the motivations behind their work. This talk aims to broaden participants' perspectives on the value of employment and the mission behind local enterprises, spurring them to reflect on their future endeavors.

3. Student-Industry Networking Event: Designed for high school and university students, this intimate gathering will facilitate direct conversations between attendees and local business owners, human resource personnel, and employees. Participants can discuss job satisfaction, the realities of daily work life, and career development firsthand. This conversation is vital for translating insights gained from earlier activities into concrete career visions and actionable next steps, such as pursuing internships or visiting companies.
