Xtalks Introduces XLSU: A Global Alliance for Life Science Nonprofits to Collaborate

Xtalks Launches Life Sciences United (XLSU)

Xtalks has officially launched Life Sciences United (XLSU), a new global alliance designed specifically for nonprofit life science organizations. This initiative aims to facilitate collaboration, increase visibility, and promote shared learning within the ever-expanding realm of life sciences.

Founded on the values that have guided Xtalks for over two decades, XLSU builds on the goal of connecting professionals in the life sciences community. This alliance incorporates a wide spectrum of entities including associations, societies, foundations, research networks, and patient advocacy groups, fostering a cooperative environment that encourages knowledge sharing and community engagement.

In today's fast-paced healthcare landscape, organizations often encounter similar challenges and opportunities but struggle to find a collaborative platform to connect with others in their field. XLSU aims to bridge these gaps by providing a dedicated space where members can learn from one another and enhance their efforts through joint initiatives.

The launch of XLSU is marked by the upcoming webinar titled How Advocacy Perspectives Can Improve Neurology Research, scheduled for July 13, 2026. This inaugural event will gather thought leaders from various neurology-focused advocacy organizations and medical groups to discuss how advocacy can influence research priorities and enhance patient involvement in clinical research and treatments. Participants will include representatives from the National Ataxia Foundation, Accelerated Cure Project, the Epilepsy Association of Edmonton and Northern Alberta, and the FamilieSCN2A Foundation. They will delve into topics such as unmet needs across neurological conditions, barriers that hinder diagnosis and research participation, and how advocacy groups can influence future research and care methodologies.

"XLSU was established to reinforce connections within the life sciences community and offer nonprofit organizations fresh avenues for collaboration, learning, and outreach," stated Dr. Sara Hadi, the Director of Xtalks Life Sciences United. "By uniting these organizations, we envision fostering impactful discussions that will advance scientific knowledge, improve patient outcomes, and strengthen the life sciences field at large."

As XLSU continues to grow, it plans to offer various educational events, panel discussions, leadership interviews, and more networking opportunities tailored for nonprofit organizations operating within the life sciences sector. The membership for XLSU is complimentary and is available to a wide range of nonprofits, including associations, societies, foundations, research networks, and patient advocacy groups.

Organizations interested in joining the XLSU community or learning more about its offerings can visit the official Xtalks Life Sciences United website. Together, the members of XLSU are working towards constructing a more interconnected, collaborative, and impactful global life sciences landscape.
