MSI Unveils Next-Generation Liquid-Cooled AI Infrastructure at COMPUTEX 2026

MSI Showcases Advanced AI Infrastructure Solutions at COMPUTEX 2026

MSI, a key player in the tech industry, unveiled an extensive range of AI and data center infrastructure solutions at COMPUTEX 2026. The presentation, which took place at Booth #J0605a, prominently featured liquid-cooled systems designed to tackle the growing thermal demands of modern data environments.

Emphasizing Liquid Cooling

In response to increasing compute density in data centers, MSI focused on liquid-cooled ORv3 rack-scale architectures. These systems cater to high-density AI installations, effectively handling the heat generated by powerful AI operations. Additionally, the showcased portfolio included NVIDIA MGX platforms for scaling AI training and inference workloads, alongside the NVIDIA DGX Station for desktop AI supercomputing and DC-MHS platforms for flexible cloud and enterprise deployments.

Danny Hsu, General Manager of MSI's Enterprise Platform Solutions, emphasized the critical balance required in today's AI infrastructure. He stated that effective AI deployment hinges on compute performance, thermal efficiency, and adaptability. MSI's offerings aim to simplify these needs, providing everything from robust rack-scale systems to compact solutions for local AI ventures.

New Rack Architectures

MSI has expanded its offerings to include OCP ORv3 liquid-cooled and EIA air-cooled rack architectures. The ORv3 caters particularly to high-density AI and cloud infrastructures, while the EIA framework allows for deployment within existing enterprise settings. The 21-inch 44OU ORv3 Liquid-Cooled Rack supports up to 100kW of power, boasting an integrated Liquid-to-Liquid Coolant Distribution Unit (L2L CDU). Utilizing 28 multi-node systems, this innovative design maximizes compute density while enhancing cooling and power distribution, tailored towards large-scale AI usage.

In contrast, the 19-inch 48RU EIA Air-Cooled Rack Architecture supports 16 multi-node systems, allowing for seamless integration in traditional data centers with flexibility in processor choice between AMD EPYC™ 9005 and Intel® Xeon® 6.

NVIDIA Collaboration

MSI's portfolio strongly features NVIDIA technology, showcasing AI servers and workstation setups that leverage GPU acceleration for AI tasks. The NVIDIA MGX series encompasses various configurations—2U, 4U, and 6U—specifically designed for AI training, inference, and handling large datasets. Each system supports rigorous demands, featuring NVIDIA’s latest GPU technologies to enhance performance.

The desktop-based NVIDIA DGX Station is particularly noteworthy, providing advanced computing capabilities for local AI development. Engineered on the NVIDIA DGX Station architecture, this platform is designed for seamless integration of AI workloads and supports extensive memory and speed requirements conducive for intense computations.

Modular and Scalable Solutions

MSI also caters to hyperscale needs with its DC-MHS multi-node platforms, which are available in both 21-inch Open Compute and 19-inch Core formats. These modular systems support AI and cloud data center environments, streamlining infrastructure deployment and enhancing transition capabilities across diverse computing landscapes. For instance, the liquid-cooled 2OU 4-Node setup under the DC-MHS architecture accommodates AI inference setups, proving the versatility of MSI's offerings.

A Vision for the Future

With a focus on modern computational challenges and efficiency, MSI's latest lineup epitomizes their commitment to driving AI infrastructure forward. The integration of liquid cooling, enhanced AI deployment capabilities, and adaptability for existing systems set the stage for future advancements in data center technologies. As MSI continues to innovate, their contributions to AI and data center infrastructures are sure to resonate within the industry, positioning them as a formidable force in the tech landscape.

At COMPUTEX 2026, MSI has not just showcased products; they have presented a vision towards the future of AI technology and data management solutions that balance performance with practicality, setting the tone for the industry's next chapter.
