Hilton Tokyo Odaiba Offers Year-Round Fresh Tuna Sushi
Hilton Tokyo Odaiba, located in the vibrant Odaiba area of Tokyo, is excited to announce that starting March 3, 2026,
Sakura, its renowned sushi restaurant, will be serving
fresh Japanese tuna in all lunch and dinner courses throughout the year. This exclusive offering highlights the essence of traditional sushi and the unique culinary heritage of Japan.
What is Fresh Tuna?
Fresh tuna, or
“namamaguro” in Japanese, refers to tuna that has not been frozen at any point after being caught, providing a superior flavor profile and texture. In recent years, many restaurants primarily serve frozen tuna, but the freshness of domestically sourced tuna featured at Sakura presents a rare find. The limited supply and handling process ensure that the tuna served retains exceptional quality and taste.
The Culinary Experience
Guests dining at Sakura can indulge in all courses featuring this exquisite fresh tuna, with lunch courses starting from 2,000. The tranquil setting of the restaurant enhances the dining experience, allowing patrons to relish the distinct flavors of the sushi crafted by experienced chefs in a calming atmosphere.
A Focus on Quality
The
fresh tuna served at Sakura is known for its soft yet firm texture, rich umami, and the unmistakable taste that distinguishes high-quality natural tuna. Customers can enjoy a variety of cuts: the firm lean meat, the luscious medium-fatty tuna (
chutoro), and the rich fatty tuna (
otoro), each prepared to enhance its natural flavors. The sushi rice is carefully crafted with a selection of
four vinegars, including three types of red vinegar and one white, each combined to complement the fine nuances of the fresh tuna.

For different arrangements, sushi chefs at Sakura integrate selected fresh tuna into all courses, creating a delightful dining journey. All prices include tax and service charges:
