Pan Global Marks the Beginning of Its 2026 Drilling Program in Spain's Escacena Project

Overview of the 2026 Drilling Program at Escacena

Pan Global Resources Inc. has officially begun its drilling program for 2026 at the El Pozo target site, part of the fully owned Escacena project situated in the Iberian Pyrite Belt in southern Spain. This marks an important milestone for the company, as El Pozo is the first of multiple targets set to be drilled in this year’s comprehensive drilling plan.

Project Highlights

Key Findings and Objectives

The El Pozo target has a significant history tied to previous mining operations and current geo-chemical anomalies. Recent exploration identified copper soil anomalies extending over 1.6 kilometers, indicating the potential for substantial mineral deposits. The upcoming drilling will focus on uncovering not only the extent of these mineralizations but also validating the strong geophysical responses previously noted, including induced polarization (IP) and electromagnetic (EM) readings.

According to Tim Moody, President and CEO of Pan Global, “El Pozo presents an attractive and large-scale target to kick off our Escacena drilling campaign in 2026. The alignments found in geophysics and copper geochemistry strongly suggest a volcanogenic massive sulfide (VMS) mineralized system, which could potentially extend downwards.”

Drilling Strategy

The plan includes at least four initial drill holes specifically designed to probe the previously untested El Pozo target. This strategic approach is aimed at evaluating not just the existing historical workings, but also the broader geological framework surrounding them. The El Pozo area is believed to hold mineralization that has yet to be fully understood, leading to promising prospects for exploration.

Alongside the current drilling at El Pozo, Pan Global has identified 15 additional unexplored targets within the Escacena project area, which is part of over 13,000 hectares of mining rights entirely owned by the company. This expansive area is located near the operational Riotinto Mine and adjacent to historical sites that further amplify the geological potential of Escacena.

Resources Potential

The Escacena project, home to the established La Romana copper-tin-silver deposit and the newly discovered Cañada Honda copper-gold site, is supported by favorable permitting history and robust mining infrastructure in the Iberian region. Initial mineral resource estimates indicate significant quantities of copper, tin, and silver, bolstered by the declining global supply and solid long-term price perspectives for copper due to its critical role in electrification and energy transition efforts worldwide.

Looking Ahead

As Pan Global progresses in its 2026 drilling efforts, results will be released promptly upon availability, shedding light on the project’s mineral potential and further shaping its exploration trajectory. Pan Global is committed to maintaining high safety and environmental standards, fostering positive community relations, and ensuring sustainable practices across all operations.
