From July 26 to August 13, 2025, YUGEN Gallery Fukuoka will host a remarkable group exhibition titled 'Faces,' featuring talented artists who focus on expressing the beauty and emotions of women. The exhibition includes works from Kyukonigo, chikame, Richard_kun, and Nah, showcasing a total of 27 pieces that explore the emotional portrayal of femininity through vibrant colors and distinct lines reminiscent of manga art.

The Artists and Their Works

The exhibition is curated by Hironobu Noma, who remarks, "The way women portray women in art captures the intricate beauty of details like hair and fingers, reflecting each artist's current thoughts and feelings."

Featured Artists:

  • - Kyukonigo - Known for focusing on light in their illustrations, Kyukonigo introduces their piece Beneath a Breathing Light. Their work often emphasizes the ethereal qualities of light and texture, which contribute to the overall emotion conveyed in their art.
Through collaborative ventures and advertisements, Kyukonigo's artistic expression is both wide-ranging and impactful.

  • - chikame - An illustrator from Fukuoka, chikame infuses life and beauty into their pieces, mainly inspired by young girls and floral motifs. Their piece Love Song stands out with strikingly impactful eyes that draw viewers into a moment of vibrant realization and experience.

  • - Nah - With a bold and pop-inspired aesthetic, Nah explores the theme of survival in an apocalyptic world through their work. Their piece, presented at the exhibition, represents a strong mental resilience often portrayed through vibrant pastel colors.
