Hello everyone! Here at TapTap, located just two minutes from Gotanda Station, we are excited to announce the return of a beloved treat for this year's Golden Week! Our popular Taiyaki from the legendary store Da Capo will be available once again from May 1st to May 6th.

The Beauty of Gotanda in Spring

Recently, the cherry blossoms along the Meguro River were at their peak, dazzling visitors at night with stunning light displays and creating a magical atmosphere throughout the day. As the blossoms fall and greenery takes over, we welcome the delightful season of Golden Week, a perfect fit for our special Taiyaki revival!

Da Capo: A Nostalgic Favorite

For those who may not know, Da Capo was a cherished record shop in Gotanda, known not just for music but also for its scrumptious Taiyaki. Although the store has closed its doors, the fond memories and flavors associated with it live on. At TapTap, we believe in keeping these memories alive and wish to bring back the flavors that locals adored. Our mission is to revive the Taiyaki during Golden Week to provide a taste of nostalgia.

Bringing the Community Together

Our initiative is driven by a desire to enrich Gotanda’s community spirit. With the concept of “Stand by you,” we aim to foster occasions for interaction among locals, encouraging them to gather and build connections. In the past, few would argue that Gotanda was synonymous with Da Capo’s Taiyaki, and we are thrilled to see visitors returning year after year, excited about the event.

For this event, we will have the following delightful options:

• - Red Bean Taiyaki: ¥380
• - Custard Taiyaki: ¥430
• - Taiyaki with Egg: ¥450 (Limited to 30 pieces per day)

In addition to Taiyaki, we are also serving our signature dish, Gotanda Soup, offering something for everyone to enjoy!
