S.T. Dupont and Fender Unite Craftsmanship for Exclusive Collection

Celebrating the Fusion of Craftsmanship and Rock Spirit

The renowned French luxury brand S.T. Dupont and iconic guitar maker Fender have teamed up to launch an exclusive collection that beautifully merges rock spirit with advanced craftsmanship. This collection pays homage to the rich cultural heritage of Japan and is inspired by the love for music and electric guitars. It features the extraordinary 'Made in Japan Limited S.T. Dupont Stratocaster®', alongside a wide array of lifestyle products, including lighters, pens, accessories, and leather goods, all representing a perfect blend of tradition and innovation.

Gold Dust and Kintsugi: Japanese Aesthetics Meet Rock

The collection is specifically designed for music lovers and electric guitar enthusiasts, showcasing the beauty of guitar artistry—from its strings, neck, fretboard, to the elegant curves of the instrument itself. Each piece interlaces the legacy of Fender's legendary guitar models, like the Stratocaster and Mustang, with the timeless Japanese technique of Kintsugi. This art form, which uses lacquer and gold dust to repair broken pottery, transforms flaws and scars into beauty. The philosophy of embracing imperfections resonates beautifully with S.T. Dupont's traditional gold dust techniques.

A Tribute to Traditional Craftsmanship

This unique collection reinterprets designs inspired by Kintsugi and gold dust—both longstanding signatures of S.T. Dupont. Each item is a true celebration of Japanese craftsmanship, reflecting the skilled handiwork of artisans. The spirit of legendary guitars that have supported the music world is encapsulated in the premium line of S.T. Dupont × Fender.

Edward Bud Cole, President of Fender Musical Instruments Corporation in Asia Pacific, expressed excitement about the collaboration, stating, 'This partnership celebrates craftsmanship, design, and the power of music. The artistic sensibilities, aesthetic values, and passion for rock embodied by both brands have beautifully merged to create a unique collection.' He emphasized that the 'Made in Japan Limited S.T. Dupont Stratocaster®' is not merely an instrument but a piece of art, embodying intricate Japanese craftsmanship, exceptional sound quality, and a deep aesthetic rooted in Japanese culture. He added, 'We are honored to collaborate with S.T. Dupont once again, delivering this special guitar to players and collectors who appreciate both tone and tradition.'

Craftsmanship & Rock Dialogue

S.T. Dupont CEO Alain Crevel emphasized the intention behind this collaboration, aiming to create a unique dialogue between the worlds of rock and refinement. 'Every item exemplifies exceptional craftsmanship and bold design. The Ligne 2 lighters and Line D Eternity pens reinterpret the iconic lines of Fender guitars, featuring new guilloche patterns inspired by Kintsugi that celebrate the beauty of imperfection. From cigar accessories to pick-shaped pendants and tweed canvas leather goods, this collection embodies the free spirit that connects our two brands—a celebration of creativity, identity, and tradition,' he shared.

The Made in Japan Limited S.T. Dupont Stratocaster®

Scheduled to start taking orders from June 13, 2025, the 'Made in Japan Limited S.T. Dupont Stratocaster®' beautifully crystallizes the aesthetics and craftsmanship of both S.T. Dupont and Fender in a high-end electric guitar. Its body features a unique gold glitter finish, meticulously applied by skilled artisans. This model includes a distinctive structure allowing a Ligne 2 lighter to be stored within the guitar's body, ensuring its exceptional presence. Additionally, the tremolo arm cap is specially designed to reflect the characteristic guilloche pattern of S.T. Dupont.

The body is made from Alder, while the maple neck boasts an ebony fretboard adorned with glitter and special inlays, featuring a 9.5-inch radius oval 'C' shape with 22 narrow tall frets. A high-gloss nitrocellulose lacquer finish guarantees not only luxury aesthetics but also excellent playability. Exclusively developed Custom S.T. Dupont Humbucking pickups mounted in an HH configuration produce rich, full tones suitable for its luxe appearance. The guitar will come with a black tweed hard case and an original certificate of authenticity.

Price: 715,000 JPY (tax included). The lighter is sold separately.

Celebrating Guitar Heroes with Ligne 2 and Line D Eternity

S.T. Dupont's gold craftsmanship sings a new melody through the carefully designed Ligne 2 lighters and Line D Eternity pens, inspired by guitar bodies, strings, and necks. The pen clip evokes the shape of a guitar bridge, while the new guilloche patterns—resembling the gold seams of Kintsugi—adorn the caps of lighters, ashtrays, and cigar cutters. A chrome-finished pick-shaped necklace featuring the silhouette of the guitar is also included with the lighters and pens.

Unique Collaboration

In this collection, intricate guilloche patterns and lacquer decorations inspired by Kintsugi, along with time-honored techniques of gold craftsmanship, combine to create a work of art that links the worlds of music and craftsmanship. The S.T. Dupont × Fender pick necklace stands as a symbol of this fusion, echoing the rock-inspired accent shared by the necklace designs of the lighters and pens.

Also emerging are leather goods inspired by the tweed fabric used for Fender guitar cases, like grey canvas accessories from the 'Access' series, featuring Biggy, Slimmy, and Twiggy lighters, and initial ballpoint pens finished with the silhouette of the Stratocaster in black lacquer. This collaboration echoes the skills, individuality, and creativity that resonate it, making for a truly unique rock-themed partnership.
