Exciting Career Event 'Gé-tama' for Student Gamers Set for October 18, 2025

GLOE to Host 'Gé-tama' Career Fair for Gaming Enthusiasts

On October 18, 2025, GLOE Inc., based in Shinjuku, Tokyo, will organize 'Gé-tama,' a laid-back joint company information session exclusively for businesses that embrace gaming culture, including those with dedicated esports teams. This unique event aims to serve as a bridge between student gamers and gaming-friendly companies as part of GLOE's project, 'COLORLeSS.'

The concept behind 'Gé-tama' is to create a nurturing environment where gaming serves as a common language between companies and students, fostering cultural matches in the job-seeking process. This initiative was born after feedback from students who voiced concerns like, “I don’t have the chance to understand the industry or roles” and “I can’t find companies that fit me.”

The first 'Gé-tama' event, held in April 2025, featured eight companies from various sectors, including entertainment, IT, and manufacturing, and attracted around 100 student gamers. The event allowed for direct interaction between students and companies, and continued post-event engagement on platforms like Discord where students could further explore company cultures through gaming.

One company reported that they had ten job offers arise directly from the event and expressed their satisfaction, saying, “We felt a great alignment with our gamer-friendly company culture.” Participants were pleasantly surprised to be drawn to companies they hadn’t initially considered, highlighting the event as a pivotal opportunity not just for business presentations but for showcasing organizational cultures.

Students echoed this sentiment with feedback such as, “I felt comfortable talking, and for the first time, I had a positive impression of a company” and “I received an offer from a company I became interested in through 'Gé-tama!' Thank you!” This underlines the potential for a cultural match hiring process, which was a strong theme throughout the event.

Given the positive response, GLOE is thrilled to announce the second edition of 'Gé-tama' on October 18, 2025.
