StellaON Receives TÜV SÜD Certification for Germany's High Voltage Grids

SINEXCEL Achieves TÜV SÜD Certification for StellaON Systems

In a significant advancement, SINEXCEL (300693.SZ) has secured TÜV SÜD certification for its power conversion systems (PCS), specifically the StellaON models 1250K and 1575K. This certification underscores compliance with Germany's esteemed standards relating to medium, high, and extra-high voltage connections as defined by VDE-AR-N 4110, 4120, and 4130.

The TÜV SÜD certification is critical as it not only verifies the reliability of StellaON systems during network disturbances but also assesses their effectiveness in managing active and reactive power and their responsiveness to frequency fluctuations. This certification process combines FGW-TR3 testing with validation from TR4 simulation models under TR8 protocols. Engineers can utilize verified DIgSILENT PowerFactory models for evaluating inverter performance within complete energy storage systems.

Covering storage systems linked from distribution networks to transmission networks, these three standards are pivotal for ensuring that the energy network's stability is uncompromised. Notably, VDE-AR-N 4130 applies to grids rated at or above 220 kV, where connection requirements directly influence overall grid stability.

The StellaON 1250K/1575K system is equipped with remarkable capabilities, such as black-start functionality, achieving an impressive efficiency of 98.5% at full load, and maintaining rated power at ambient temperatures up to 55 °C without power reduction. Furthermore, it can deliver up to 150% of its rated power for intervals lasting up to 60 seconds. Its speed-controlled cooling system operates quietly at only 65 dB, ensuring flexibility for installations where noise levels are a concern.

For project developers and EPC contractors, this certification aids in selecting appropriate inverters while crafting technical specifications tailored to specific voltage requirements. Moreover, it serves as a foundation for plant certification and grid connection approval. Nevertheless, project-specific design and network requirements will still necessitate separate assessments at the facility level.

StellaON has successfully achieved EU certification alongside national certifications in markets such as Germany, Poland, Romania, and others, allowing its systems for use in these regions. Certification processes are also ongoing in the United States, Spain, Austria, and Chile, with expected completion by the end of 2026.

Currently, there are over 15 StellaON projects being implemented across Europe, Asia-Pacific, and Africa, with various stages from system integration to delivery and commissioning on-site. The total order volume surpassed 500 MW in the first half of 2026 alone. The PCS has also been validated under extreme heat and humidity conditions in countries like Vietnam and Myanmar and within island microgrid applications.
