Workshop Overview

The workshop aims to guide participants through the entire publishing process, using design tools like Canva to create beautiful layouts, covers, and back matter. By the end of the event, each participant will have their own original work ready for publication. Here’s what participants can expect on the day of the workshop:

Workshop Agenda

1. Introduction
- Meet the instructors and understand the workshop's goals, which include publishing both a physical book and an e-book.
- Participants will introduce themselves and share their publishing aspirations and ideas for their projects, including expected page count.

2. Obtaining ISBN Codes
- Participants will learn how to determine their book’s page count, sales price, and other critical details.
- Reiwa Publishing will assist in formulating the ISBN codes required for publication.

3. Creating the Book Design
- Using provided templates, beginners can craft their book layouts confidently:
- Constructing the book's structure
- Arranging images and adding text
- Designing the cover, back cover, and any additional pages
- Reviewing the complete book data in PDF format

4. Creating Book Information
- Participants will write the book description that will appear on their Amazon sales page and include author profiles or pet introductions as necessary.

5. Post-Publication Steps
- Guidance on how to list their physical and electronic books online, including methods for donating copies to the National Diet Library.

Important Details about the Workshop

The workshop fee is set at a special monitor price of 10,000 yen (tax included). Participants can attend one of two sessions:

• - July 19, 2025 (Saturday) from 1 PM to 5 PM
• - July 22, 2025 (Tuesday) from 1 PM to 5 PM

Participants can leave as soon as they finish their work.

Location and Requirements

The workshop will take place at two convenient venues in Yokohama and Setagaya, Tokyo. Each session is limited to four participants to ensure personalized attention.
What to Bring:

• - A laptop capable of running design software
• - Power cord for the laptop
• - At least 24 copyright-owning images that will be used for the book

Optional: A mouse can be brought along for ease of use.
Note: Participation via smartphone or tablet is not allowed, and no equipment will be provided on-site.
