Experience Community and Creativity at TECHNOS Festival 2025 in Saku City

TECHNOS Festival 2025: A Celebration of Community and Creativity

The highly anticipated TECHNOS Festival 2025, also known as the Mochizuki Festival, is set to take place on October 25, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM at the Midori no Mura Campus in Saku City, Nagano Prefecture. Hosted by the Technos College group, which includes Tokyo College of Technology and Tokyo Air Travel & Hotel College, this festival is designed to bring together the community, local businesses, and students to celebrate creativity and collaboration.

Theme of the Festival: "Tomoshibi"

This year's festival theme, "tomoshibi" (meaning light or flame), reflects the belief that every small idea, akin to a flickering light, can ignite new challenges and dreams through connection and collaboration. As such, the festival aims to foster an environment where participants can engage, learn, and experience the essence of the community. From engaging workshops to energetic performances, attendees will have the opportunity to witness the vibrant culture of Saku.

Event Highlights

The festival will feature an array of activities perfectly tailored to showcase the local charm and engage visitors:

Workshops

Participants can enjoy hands-on workshops led by students, allowing them to explore various skills and crafts, such as:
  • - Portrait Drawing with the Animation and Manga Department
  • - Instrument Performance with the Music Department
Additionally, creative sessions will include making lanterns and crafting straw horses, connecting participants with traditional local crafts.

Marche (Market) Event

Saku is known for its delightful foods and sweets, and the festival will host a mock market where local delicacies will be available for purchase. Students will play an integral role in promoting and operating these stalls, providing real-world experience in a collaborative atmosphere.

Stargazing Activities

With its stunning night sky, Saku offers a unique environment for stargazing activities themed around celestial wonders. The festival will include:
  • - Telescope Making from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM
  • - Starry Night Observation from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Visitors will also find illuminating displays crafted by students, creating a breathtaking experience.

Guest Performance Stage

The festival will not be complete without captivating performances from local groups. One highlighted guest is the “7th Period's Fleur,” a school-backed idol group formed by students from Saku Nagasei High School, showcasing their talents and a desire to shine during their high school years.

Furthermore, local dance teams and Technos College students will contribute to a vibrant lineup of performances that entertain and inspire.
