EVE Energy Unveils Global BESS System with 6.9 MWh Capacity and 50 GWh Contracts

EVE Energy's Major Leap in Energy Storage

At a recent industry event held in Beijing, EVE Energy made headlines by announcing significant accomplishments in the energy storage sector. The company has officially launched a next-generation Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) boasting a capacity of 6.9 MWh. This launch marks a pivotal moment for EVE Energy as it continues to innovate and expand within the competitive global market.

Advanced BESS Technology

The newly introduced 6.9 MWh BESS is based on EVE Energy's advanced battery production platform and is designed for large-scale applications. It fits within a standard 20-foot shipping container and achieves a remarkable 10% increase in energy density compared to earlier models. The cell-level energy density exceeds 430 Wh/L. Moreover, the system has optimized construction that reduces its footprint by 6%, saving around 2.6 million RMB in investment costs for each installation.

With impressive longevity, the system ensures 10,000 cycles of operation at a State of Health (SOH) of 70%. The technology effectively maintains a temperature difference of just 5°C thanks to its active balancing and precise thermal management features. For security, it includes a comprehensive five-level protection mechanism for full 1500 V DC voltage, integrating AI solutions for multi-level detection and systematic fire suppression—thus managing the entire process from early warning to fire control in a closed-loop system.

Safety Certifications and Testing

In conjunction with its launch, EVE Energy has also received significant recognition for the safety of its products. CSA Group awarded the company a certification confirming the successful passage of industrial-scale fire tests for its 628 Ah large-format battery and the 5 MWh BESS. The rigorous testing adhered to international standards, including CSA/ANSI C80025, UL 9540A, and NFPA 855, affirming the system's fire safety capabilities and thermal runaway control during extreme fire scenarios.

Furthermore, EVE Energy's integrated external energy storage cabinet with a capacity of 261 kWh has received CB, CE, and AS certifications from SGS. The S6900 BESS system has also obtained CB and CE certificates, solidifying its regulatory compliance for international market expansions.

Strategic Collaborations with Industry Leaders

In a move to deepen its market presence, EVE Energy signed strategic cooperation agreements with leading industry players including Beijing Goldwind Zero Carbon Energy Co., Ltd., Zhejiang Jinko Energy Storage Co., Ltd., Jiangsu Linyang Energy Equipment Co., Ltd., China Energy Construction Energy Storage Technology (Wuhan) Co., Ltd., and Shanghai Ronghe Yuan Energy Storage Co., Ltd. These partnerships focus on large-format batteries and essential energy storage products, cumulatively contracting production volumes exceeding 50 GWh.

Through this strategic expansion and the introduction of new products, along with the attainment of vital safety certifications, EVE Energy has once more reiterated its technological prowess and robust market position within the large-scale energy storage sector. The company is committed to developing core competencies in high-capacity energy storage and collaborating with global partners to facilitate the growth of the energy storage ecosystem.
