The highly anticipated Fruit Attraction is back for its 17th edition from September 30 to October 2, 2025, in Madrid. Organised by IFEMA MADRID and FEPEX, this year's event promises to be the largest yet, with Andalusia as the main sponsor. It’s not just a trade fair; it’s the epicenter of global fruit and vegetable marketing, expected to welcome over 120,000 professionals from 150 countries.

An Expanding Venue and Diverse Participation


Fruit Attraction 2025 will occupy 10 halls at IFEMA MADRID, adding more space than ever before to accommodate an impressive 2,460 exhibitors—an 8.4% increase from the previous year. The 78,000 square meters of exhibition space are designed to enhance the experience for both exhibitors and visitors, with sections organized by region and sector for better navigation. Around 70% of the event will focus on the Fresh Produce Area, underlining its significance in the industry.

Focus on Innovation and Sustainability


This year, the fair will also place a strong emphasis on innovation with its InnovaTech area, which includes Biotech Attraction and Smart Agro. The area has seen a 31% increase in participation, showcasing advancements in technology and research relevant to fresh produce. Sustainability is also a key theme, with initiatives like the Organic Hub Tour designed to spotlight businesses that offer organically certified products.

A Platform for Global Engagement


The event promises to be a platform for international collaboration. Nearly 700 buyers from 67 countries will be invited through the International Buyers Programme, boosting trade relations and engagement. This year, Malaysia and Mexico are the Guest Importing Countries, complete with a schedule of round tables and B2B sessions to facilitate trade discussions.

Tomatoes will take center stage as the featured product, highlighting their nutritional benefits, economic importance, and role in global trade. This thematic focus will include discussions and sessions that delve deep into the sector's dynamics.

The Innovation Hub will feature 50 new products and host the Innovation Hub Awards—celebrating creativity and advancements within the industry. Additionally, awards for the best stand designs will recognize those who exemplify sustainability, originality, and aesthetic appeal. The APAE Journalism Awards will also be presented, acknowledging outstanding contributions to the field of fruit and vegetable media.
