Revolutionizing Healthcare through AI Agents at RSNA 2025: A New Era for Medical Imaging

Transforming Healthcare: AI Agents at RSNA 2025

In December 2025, RSNA (Radiological Society of North America) hosted a transformative event under the compelling motto “Imaging the Individual.” This year’s conference pushed the boundaries of radiology, inviting experts to explore innovative solutions aimed at bridging the gap between personalized healthcare and global health disparities. A key player in this dialogue was United Imaging Intelligence (UII), a subsidiary of United Imaging Group specializing in artificial intelligence.

AI Radiologists: The New Frontier

UII introduced a thought-provoking question during the conference: “Agent Radiologist, Are We There Yet?” This highlighted their vision for the future, showcasing next-generation AI agents that are equipped to comprehend, reason, and act throughout the continuum of care. The focus is now on achieving a more precise, accessible healthcare system that can anticipate patient needs effectively.

One of the standout developments was the uAI Insight, an AI agent aimed at streamlining the entire process from imaging to reporting. It received worldwide interest and demonstrated how AI can enhance diagnostic workflows by integrating clinical insights directly into the reporting process. Utilizing extensive multimodal AI models, UII’s system processes complex patterns within text, images, and language, enabling the generation of structured, clear, and precise reports. The enthusiasm from participants for potential collaborations with UII was palpable and indicative of the future of medical AI.

Notable Achievements at the Conference

The uAI Agents presented showcased impressive capabilities in recognizing various medical conditions. For example, the uAI Agent for Chest CT Reporting successfully identified 73 thoracic diseases from a single scan with an impressive average AUC of 95%. Meanwhile, the uAI Agent for Brain MRI Reporting was able to pinpoint 47 neurological diseases using comparable methods. Together, these AI solutions mark a pivotal shift in the landscape of medical AI—transitioning from automating tasks to fostering intelligent partnerships between humans and AI.

Moreover, attendees witnessed the introduction of the uAI Agent for Ultrasound, representing a cutting-edge embodied AI system. This robotic arm integrates autonomous scanning with AI-powered diagnostics. By analyzing visual, tactile, and pressure signals in real-time, it adjusts the probe's position and pressure to promote a more personalized and gentler patient experience.
