Switle BODY Achieves KIS Certification
Sirius Corporation, headquartered in Taito, Tokyo, has exciting news to share. Their collaborative project with Alice Care, based in Kawasaki, has led to the creation of
Switle BODY, a groundbreaking care washing tool. This innovative product has been officially recognized with the
Kawasaki Standard (KIS) certification for welfare products in the fiscal year of 2026.
The KIS certification program, established by Kawasaki City in Kanagawa Prefecture, aims to promote products that support human independence and enrich lives through innovative solutions. Over the past 17 years,
301 products have gained KIS certification, demonstrating its commitment to fostering new industrial growth while enhancing lifestyles through effective welfare solutions.
The certification ceremony took place at the KCCI Hall in Kawasaki on March 2, 2026. Among the attendees were Takeya Tsunekawa, President of Alice Care, and Takahashi, Executive Director of Sirius. The event highlighted the partnership's dedication to improving care for the elderly and those with disabilities.
About Switle BODY
Switle BODY sets itself apart as an essential tool for elderly care, allowing for hygienic body washing without the need to move those in need of assistance from their beds. This innovative device enables caregivers to maintain cleanliness while keeping bedding dry and uncontaminated. Switle BODY requires only about
1 liter of water to perform tasks such as hair washing, body washing, and rinsing, making it a sustainable and cost-effective solution for hygiene maintenance.
Often, caregivers may face challenges in providing regular baths, especially for individuals unable to bathe frequently due to physical limitations. Switle BODY directly addresses these challenges, making it easier for caregivers by reducing physical strain and ensuring proper hygiene for those in need. This product is particularly beneficial in healthcare facilities and nursing homes while also addressing issues around the shortage of caregivers available for in-home bathing assistance.
Furthermore, Switle BODY has been selected as a target product for the
Continuity Support Project for Care Facilities in the fiscal year 2026. It is seen as a valuable resource, not just in regular care routines but also as an emergency support tool for evacuees needing bathing facilities in times of crisis.
