Vans' New Artist Collection Featuring Yusuke Hanai

Vans, known for its action sports footwear and apparel, has announced an exciting new collaboration with renowned Japanese artist Yusuke Hanai. The "Vans Artist Collection: Yusuke Hanai" is set to launch online on October 31, 2025, at 10:00 AM JST via the official Vans online store. Following this, there will be a special pre-sale at the Vans Store in Harajuku on November 7, with a general release starting on November 8, 2025.

This unique collection is part of Vans' ongoing initiative to showcase the creative talents of artists, particularly those from Asia, through the lens of their iconic products. The collaboration follows a highly praised release in May 2025, making this the second partnership between Vans and Hanai this year.

The latest collection draws inspiration from Hanai's beloved cat, depicted in a sentimental illustration gazing out at the autumn sky. This narrative is woven into the collection’s designs, which include elements made from bio-based materials, recycled nylon, and organic cotton—keeping in line with Hanai’s commitment to addressing environmental challenges as a surfer.

Among the highlights of this collection is the classic Authentic silhouette, adorned with prints of drifting clouds alongside a person and a cat observing the scenery. The foxing tape showcases hand-drawn designs, allowing the artwork to be visible through the transparent rubber waffle outsole. Utilizing Vans' Premium model, the collection incorporates SOLA FOAM ADC, a high-resilience polyurethane foam made of 30% bio-based materials, ensuring a comfortable fit.

The apparel line features a minimalist color palette of olive, black, and white. In addition to shared artwork from the footwear, the clothing line includes an original "OFF THE WALL" coach jacket, hoodies, long-sleeve tees, pants, and beanies, all comprising five distinct pieces that reflect the artistic vision of this collaboration.
