On May 21, 2025, Suining Corporation, led by President Masaki Yasuda, conducted a lecture at Tokyo Science University as part of their ongoing commitment to education and international collaboration. This was the sixth consecutive year that Suining has offered this lecture, demonstrating their dedication to enlightening students about the water business in Japan.

Background and Purpose


Tokyo Science University, established by the merger of Tokyo Institute of Technology and Tokyo Medical and Dental University, particularly caters to international students interested in internships and employment opportunities in Japan. The university invites instructors from various industries to provide insights into Japanese companies and the broader industrial landscape. This year's lecture series included participation from seven or eight other prominent companies including major IT and energy firms. Suining's session focused specifically on the water infrastructure sector in Japan, leveraging its expertise to enrich international students’ understanding of the global and local water business landscape.

The key takeaway from the lecture was not only to present the current state of water business in Japan but also to impart essential knowledge that could assist students in their future careers.

Over 20 international students enrolled in master’s programs attended the lecture, which was delivered by two employees of Suining—both graduates of Tokyo Science University. The session offered insights into global water issues, the status of the water business, plant engineering, and public-private collaborations. Furthermore, the speakers shared guidance on job-hunting strategies that would be beneficial for students as they step into the professional world. During the Q&A segment, students posed various questions, including the characteristics and skills sought by Japanese companies and issues surrounding disaster recovery, such as the Noto Peninsula earthquake.
