Envision Energy Paves the Way for Wind Technology with DNV Certification for TG Pro Turbines
Envision Energy Paving the Way for Wind Technology
In a landmark achievement, Envision Energy, a global frontrunner in green technology, has successfully garnered DNV Type Certification for its cutting-edge wind turbine model, the TG Pro (EN-206/8.35 60 Hz). This accomplishment, announced during the WindEnergy Hamburg 2026 event, highlights the robust partnership between Envision Energy and DNV, underscoring the technological maturity and market readiness of this next-generation wind energy platform.
The certification was presented during a ceremony held by Mette Redanz, DNV's Vice President for Renewable Energy Certification, and Yimin Lou, Senior Vice President and Product Director at Envision Energy. The event not only celebrated the certification but also emphasized the crucial role of independent verification in fostering advancements in wind energy technologies.
Since its debut in 2024, the TG Pro has secured numerous orders in both the Chinese market and internationally, undergoing extensive validation at both the prototype and commercial phases. Built on Envision's Model TG Pro platform, this turbine boasts high-performance architecture, optimized aerodynamics, and smart control technologies, all tailored to enhance energy capture and production efficiency across a diverse range of wind conditions.
The TG Pro is designed with long-term reliability as a priority. Key components are reinforced, and technical solutions are specifically tailored for challenging operational environments. Validation efforts have included comprehensive component testing, digital twin simulations, prototype operations across multiple sites, and commercial deployments. This thorough process provides a strong foundation for assessing the turbine's performance and reliability. The DNV Type Certification serves as an independent confirmation that the turbine design meets applicable certification criteria.
Yimin Lou commented, "The ongoing development of our new-generation turbine lineup hinges on rigorous validation and proven real-world applications. The DNV certification of the TG Pro reaffirms the platform's maturity and its capability to meet the needs of clients across various international markets. As renewable energy systems evolve, Envision will continue to develop intelligent, efficient, and reliable turbine technologies for tomorrow's energy systems, enhancing the value that renewables can deliver on a large scale."
Mette Redanz added, "This independent certification is a cornerstone for trust in wind turbine technology; it assists manufacturers, developers, and other stakeholders in evaluating performance, reliability, and compliance of new wind platforms. We are thrilled to assist Envision in the certification of the TG Pro."
In addition to the TG Pro, Envision is also showcasing its complete range of wind turbines at the WindEnergy Hamburg 2026 event. The company’s EN-156/5.0 MW platform recently achieved provisional type certification from Bureau Veritas. This certification process was remarkably swift, completed in less than five months, allowing for an independent assessment of the design and technical capabilities prior to its larger-scale commercial deployment.
Targeted for the Asia-Pacific region, the EN-156/5.0 MW is currently being commissioned as part of the Manar Wind Power Project in Sri Lanka. This marks Envision's first large-scale wind turbine order in the country. Designed to withstand demanding coastal conditions characterized by high salinity and humidity, the turbine features a hub height of 110 meters and enhanced corrosion-resistant characteristics. The combination of international certification and concrete project implementation reflects the platform's commitment to reliability and environmental adaptability, enabling its deployment in Sri Lanka and other regional markets.
These two significant certification milestones illustrate Envision's ongoing dedication to rigorous engineering, independent validation, and the development of market-specific products. Through collaboration with leading international certification bodies and customers from diverse markets, Envision is driving advancements in wind technologies that harmonize performance, reliability, and adaptability, responding to the demands of a constantly evolving global energy system.
