The Tokyo Metropolitan Government, in collaboration with the Tokyo Tourism Foundation, is hosting its fourth seminar and networking event aimed at strengthening the management capabilities of tourism operators. This initiative addresses various challenges faced by the tourism sector, such as workforce stability, operational efficiency, and value enhancement.

Seminar Agenda

The seminar will focus on the crucial topic of disaster preparedness in the tourism industry, with particular emphasis on the role of Business Continuity Plans (BCP).

• - Theme: "Promoting Tourism BCP with a New Perspective on Disaster Preparedness"

- Masato Takamatsu, Director of Tourism Resilience Institute

Learn about the importance of BCP in the context of inbound tourism and how to safeguard the appeal of tourist destinations.

Session 2: Overview of the Tokyo Tourism Industry One-Stop Support Center (available online as well)
Attend a presentation that clearly explains the support services available for tourism operators.

Session 3: Networking Event for Tourism Businesses
This open networking session will feature booths from companies involved in tourism BCP and others eager to enhance Tokyo’s tourism industry. This is an excellent opportunity to connect, exchange ideas, and foster collaboration among stakeholders in the tourism sector.
