The DK Elder System Earns ME-BYO BRAND Certification
On March 27, 2026, Daiichi Kosho Co., Ltd. announced that their DK Elder System has received recognition from Kanagawa Prefecture as an exemplary product in the non-disease industry through the ME-BYO BRAND initiative. This system incorporates a multitude of content aimed at maintaining and improving physical, oral, and cognitive functions among the elderly.
The concept of "non-disease" refers to a fluid state between health and illness. In Kanagawa, there is a significant push for residents to take proactive measures to enhance their non-disease state, rather than waiting until illness strikes. The ME-BYO BRAND initiative has been designed to promote the awareness and behavioral changes of citizens through recognized products and services that address these social issues, ultimately leading to the promotion of industries focused on non-disease.
As of the end of March 2025, a total of 48 items have been certified under this initiative, which only continues to gain recognition each year. Kanagawa has established evaluation criteria based on five categories: 1) Concept Fit, 2) Reliability, 3) Advancement, 4) Marketability, and 5) Future Potential. The DK Elder System underwent thorough examination based on these measures, with special attention given to its potential to address health challenges such as dementia and frailty.
With the certification, the DK Elder System will be able to use the ME-BYO BRAND logo and trademark in its business activities. Additionally, there will be opportunities for the system to engage in promotional activities at events related to the non-disease industry sponsored by the prefecture and collaborate with other ME-BYO BRAND entities.
Daiichi Kosho Co., Ltd. is committed to building a new healthcare platform that supports smiles for everyone.
