Japan-Korea Joint Production Seminar
In the seminar that will take place from 18:00 to 19:00, we will welcome Masaki Waki, Chief Producer from NTT Docomo Studio & Live, who has worked on the Japanese remake of the popular Korean drama “Stove League”. He will share insights into the collaborative processes and strategies for successful partnerships in content production between Japan and Korea. Waki will also discuss the production and distribution strategies for the Japanese version of the hit show “Tomorrow is Mr. Trot”, a powerful musical competition that has captivated audiences across both nations.
Dramatic Highlights: “Stove League” showcases the journey of a baseball team's general manager who is determined to turn around a consistently losing franchise. Garnering a peak viewership of over 20% in South Korea, the story appealed to a wide audience and earned prestigious accolades, including the Television Category Drama of the Year award at the 2019 Baeksang Arts Awards.
“Tomorrow is Mr. Trot” continues to capture the imagination of fans through its Japanese adaptation and compelling music, further solidified by a special broadcast event to commemorate the 60th anniversary of Japan-Korea diplomatic relations.
