Einride Divests Design Organization to Enhance Operational Focus and Growth

Einride's Strategic Move: Divestment of Design Organization

In a strategic shift aimed at enhancing its operational capabilities, Einride AB, a pioneering leader in the electric and autonomous freight sector, has announced the divestment of its design organization. This decision, made public in a recent announcement, is part of a larger plan to empower the design team to innovate independently while simultaneously allowing Einride to sharpen its focus on its core business in transforming freight operations.

Founded in 2016, Einride has quickly emerged as a significant player in the tech landscape, driving the adoption of sustainable freight solutions powered by cutting-edge technology. The company's design organization has garnered recognition for its excellence in product design, industrial design, and creative services. With increasing external inquiries for high-quality design solutions, Einride recognized a unique opportunity to allow its design talent to flourish in a dedicated environment.

New Beginnings with Navisalma Design

The design organization will now operate under the name Navisalma Design, a newly established studio co-founded by Einride's co-founder, Linnéa Kornehed Falck, and her partners. This transformation is poised to unlock new possibilities for the design team, enabling them to take on ambitious projects and contribute creatively to other sectors.

Roozbeh Charli, CEO of Einride, expressed enthusiasm about the separation, stating, "By carving out the design organization and partnering with Navisalma Design, we're creating a genuine win-win. We're proud of what we've built together and excited for what the team will be able to achieve in this next chapter with Navisalma Design."

The divestment is structured as a business transfer conducted at fair market value, following an independent valuation. Notably, Einride will maintain a minority stake in Navisalma Design and has entered a three-year retainer agreement to continue receiving design, branding, and marketing services from the newly formed studio.

Einride's Vision for the Future

With this strategic decision, Einride aims to streamline its operational focus as it accelerates the transition to future-proofed transportation solutions. The company has been at the forefront of integrating electric and autonomous technologies into freight operations, boasting one of the largest electric heavy-duty fleets and advanced charging infrastructure across North America, Europe, and the Middle East.

The timing of this move coincides with Einride's preparations for its anticipated business combination with Legato, a special purpose acquisition company, which will ultimately lead to Einride becoming a publicly listed entity on the NYSE. This combination, announced in late 2025, reflects a commitment to scaling operations and enhancing the company's growth trajectory.

This divestment sends a clear message not only about Einride's commitment to innovation through its design capabilities but also about its overall vision for transforming the transportation industry. By allowing its design team to evolve independently, Einride is reinforcing its dedication to creativity and innovation, essential for thriving in a rapidly changing market landscape.

As both Einride and Navisalma Design embark on their new journeys, there is an air of excitement surrounding what the future holds for this partnership. Enhanced operational focus and independent creative growth are set to position both entities for success as they fulfill their respective missions in revolutionizing freight and design solutions in the years to come.
