MORSE Corp Achieves Exceptional CMMC Level 2 Certification Milestone

MORSE Corp Achieves Prominent CMMC Level 2 Certification

In a remarkable achievement, MORSE Corp (officially known as MORSECORP Inc.) announced on June 25, 2025, that it has successfully completed the Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) Level 2 assessment. The evaluation was performed by a Certified Third-Party Assessment Organization, and MORSE not only passed but did so with an impressive score of 110, reflecting a complete absence of any Plan of Action and Milestones (POAMs) or findings. This accomplishment underlines MORSE’s strong commitment to maintaining a comprehensive cybersecurity program, further establishing its position as a trusted contractor for the Department of Defense (DoD) and other partners.

The primary objective of the CMMC framework is to enhance the cybersecurity practices of Defense Industrial Base (DIB) companies, thus protecting Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) and sensitive data that could impact national security. With the DoD mandating that all contractors must achieve CMMC certification, MORSE’s certification places it among a select group of contractors that have fulfilled the stringent requirements.

Kuba Szwacki, Head of IT Security at MORSE, emphasized the significance of this achievement: "Passing this assessment with a perfect result is a testament not just to compliance but to the culture of excellence we’ve built across IT and Security. We have worked tirelessly to elevate our cybersecurity proficiency, transforming it into a strategic capability that distinctly separates us from our competitors. Our commitment to speed, integrity, and confidence in our practices originates from a strong foundation we built over recent years, supported by our dedicated team."

To fulfill the requirements of CMMC Level 2, MORSE had to implement all security requirements specified in NIST 800-171 Rev. 2. This includes rigorous assessment objectives, ensuring a robust security framework for safeguarding sensitive data. The cybersecurity protocols at MORSE have been deeply integrated into every operational layer, ranging from system architecture to employee behavior, creating a holistic approach to cybersecurity management.

Josh Torgerson, Chief Operating Officer of MORSE, further elaborated on the company’s operational capabilities: "We have constructed systems that not only enhance security but also support rapid and agile development processes. This enables us to tackle complex and multidisciplinary challenges efficiently, contributing significantly to the US national security landscape. Importantly, we believe that cybersecurity should not serve as a constraint on innovation."

This landmark certification follows an extensive period of internal audits, external evaluations, and readiness reviews that have solidified MORSE’s reputation as a leader in secure and reliable operations. With over 76,000 businesses operating within the US Defense Industrial Base and less than one percent currently achieving certification, MORSE has distinguished itself as a pioneering force by achieving CMMC Level 2 certification.

Headquartered in Cambridge, MA, with additional locations in Arlington, VA, and Seattle, WA, MORSE Corp is an employee-owned small business dedicated to leveraging advanced technology to address some of the toughest challenges faced within the US National Security Ecosystem. Comprising a specially selected team of scientists, engineers, and software developers, MORSE aims to deliver superior technical solutions tailored for the complex demands of national security.

This certification not only enhances MORSE’s marketability but also assures potential partners and clients of its uncompromising commitment to cybersecurity principles. As the realm of cybersecurity continues to evolve, the successful attainment of CMMC Level 2 certification marks a significant milestone in MORSE Corp’s journey towards excellence in safeguarding sensitive information and enhancing national security.
