Hong Kong Expands its Global Technology Footprint at CES 2025
The Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) along with the Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation (HKSTP) has announced an impressive enhanced presence at CES 2025. This year, they will present a unified delegation spotlighting the remarkable innovation thriving within Hong Kong’s technology sector. The Hong Kong Tech pavilions will be strategically positioned across pivotal areas such as Eureka Park, the Global Pavilion, and Design Source, featuring groundbreaking products and solutions from 57 distinguished tech companies operating in diverse sectors.
Hong Kong: A Daunting Force in Technology
In 2023, Hong Kong’s electronics industry emerged as a key pillar of the economy, accounting for around 70.4% of the city's overall exports. The city has carved out a significant niche as a global exporter of integrated circuits and plays a crucial role in the markets for smartphones and computer accessories. That same year, electronics exports saw a robust increase of 14.9%, bolstering trade relationships with major markets including mainland China, ASEAN, the European Union, the United States, and Taiwan.
The Shenzhen-Hong Kong-Guangzhou science and technology cluster has gained global acclaim, securing the rank of the second most innovative area on the WIPO Global Innovation Index 2024. Moreover, Hong Kong has consistently demonstrated its prowess in digital competitiveness, ranked within the top 10 on the IMD World Digital Competitiveness Ranking since 2019. The entrepreneurial scene is also thriving, with over 4,200 startups accounting for the creation of approximately 16,453 jobs in 2023.
57 Exhibitors Showcase the Best of Hong Kong
At CES 2025, the collaboration between HKTDC and HKSTP will bring forth 51 innovative startups and tech companies to Eureka Park and Global Pavilion. These exhibitors represent five strategic sectors demonstrating Hong Kong’s formidable R&D capabilities: Advanced Electronics and Robotics, Advanced Materials and Sustainable Technology, AI and Data, Digital Transformation, and Life and Health. This diverse array offers exciting networking opportunities for industry leaders, venture capitalists, and research institutions alike. Additionally, 6 small and medium enterprises (SMEs) will be featured in Design Source, showcasing Hong Kong’s exceptional abilities in OEM, ODM, design, and sourcing.

Celebrated Innovations: CES Innovation Award Recipients
Four exhibitors from Hong Kong’s pavilions have proudly received CES Innovation Awards for 2025, each recognized for their exceptional product offerings across various categories:
- - Rocket 2.0 by Full Nature Farms HK Limited in Sustainability/Energy & Power focuses on smart irrigation for sustainable farming.
- - Seekr by Vidi Labs, recognized in Accessibility/AgeTech, offers an AI wearable device that aids the visually impaired and elderly in navigating environments independently.
- - 3-axis Micro Gimbal Stabilizer (MGS) by Vista Innotech Limited, awarded in Imaging, is acknowledged as the world’s smallest 3-axis gimbal camera.
- - Mobile Ankle-foot Exoneuromusculoskeleton by The Hong Kong Polytechnic University and Thecon Technology is recognized in Accessibility/AgeTech for its multi-modal device designed to assist stroke patients in improving motor function.
