The Computer Entertainment Supplier's Association (CESA) has announced that registration for the Business Day of the Tokyo Game Show 2026 (TGS2026) is now open. Starting from July 30, 2026, at noon, attendees who are involved in the gaming industry can register online. It is important to note that only those who pass a preliminary screening for industry affiliation will be permitted entry into this exclusive event.

The Business Days will take place over two days, September 17 and 18, 2026. The pricing options for registration are as follows:
  • - Standard Pass: ¥16,500 (approx. $150), for those without a Business Day registration code.
  • - Gold Pass: ¥44,000 (approx. $400), which includes benefits such as business lounge access and networking opportunities.
  • - Black Pass: ¥110,000 (approx. $1,000), offering additional perks like a dedicated lounge and special entrance.

Those with a Business Day registration code, distributed by exhibitors, can register for free or purchase passes at a reduced rate. Details are available on the official TGS website.

Business Day Highlights


The TGS Business Days are designed to create an environment conducive to meetings and discussions among professionals in the gaming industry. Registered attendees will have access to the TGS Business Matching System, which launches on August 7, 2026. This system enables users to schedule appointments with exhibitors even before the event begins.

Gold and Black Pass holders will also be able to arrange meetings with fellow attendees. On the event days, attendees can enjoy convenient registration services, along with access to business lounges located throughout the Makuhari Messe exhibition center.

It is important to inform potential attendees that only individuals over the age of 18 can attend the Business Day. Additionally, the event is not open to students or accompanying minors, ensuring a professional atmosphere.

Scheduled for August 24, 2026, TGS will begin accepting applications for the keynote speeches and forums. The keynote address titled “30 Years of Tokyo Game Show: Reflections and Proposals for 2056 (Tentative)” will occur on September 17 and feature CESA Chairman Haruhiko Tsujimoto.

Another noteworthy forum is “Cross-Industry Challenges: Insights from Sanrio, PARCO, and Toei”, discussing new insights into the gaming publishing industry and the influx of non-gaming businesses into this space. The lecture aims to explore questions like why companies are entering gaming now and how they plan to leverage their unique strengths.

Additionally, the forum “What Does It Take to Bring Virtual into Reality?” (Tentative) will delve into the evolving relationship between gaming and the real world, including technological advancements that allow virtual experiences to manifest in tangible formats.
